The Very Loud Indeed Co. have announced the release of their latest product, and this time it falls into their range of pre-made patch bundles for Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere software synthesizer platform. Omnisphere Niebla comprises 120 all-new presets crafted from a collection of heavily processed electric guitar samples.
The samples used to create the new bundle are completely new, and don’t rely on any of the stock content provided in Omnisphere — or any of the company’s previous packs. There’s a total of 114 sound sources, all of which have been “abused and mangled” with the aim of creating “grimy and dirty” patches well suited to suspense and horror scoring. The company say that the character of the sounds has been influenced by the work of composers such as Charlie Clouser, Mark Korven, John Murphy and the Newton Brothers.
As with many products from The Very Loud Indeed Co., the patches included in Omnisphere Niebla rely heavily on the mod wheel, which in many cases is capable of completely transforming sounds, and so experimental use of it is highly encouraged!
Compatibility
Omnisphere Niebla is compatible with Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere 2.8 or later, which is supported on PCs running Windows 7 and above, and Macs running macOS 11 or higher. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available. The sound set requires 363 MB of free disk space.

Omnisphere Niebla is available now, and is currently (22 March 2024) being offered for an introductory price of $19, reduced from its full cost of $29.
