The Very Loud Indeed Co. Omnisphere Fjall synthesizer patches sound set

In addition to their line of sample libraries, The Very Loud Indeed Co. also produce sound sets for a range of popular virtual instrument platforms. Their latest release, Omnisphere Fjall, offers a collection of 120 patches that can be used with Spectrasonics’ flagship synthesis platform.

Said to be ideal for scoring thrillers, drama, action and horror projects, Omnisphere Fjall offers a comprehensive selection of sounds influenced by the work of composers such as Tyler Bates, Junkie XL, John Carpenter, Henry Jackman and Brian Tyler, amongst many others. It has been built exclusively from 186 new sound sources, and does not reuse any of the content already present in Omnisphere or any other sets.

Many of the sound set’s patches employ multiple layers of sound, which can be independently muted or isolated to create variations of the sounds and tailor them to suit the particular use case. There are also many parameters tied to the modulation wheel which, in the case of some patches, is capable of morphing the sound into something completely different.

Compatibility

Omnisphere Fjall is compatible with Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere 2.6 or later, which is supported on PCs running Windows 7 or higher, and Macs running macOS 11 and above, with VST2.4, VST3, AAX and AU plug-in versions available. The sound set requires 331MB of free disk space.

Pricing & Availability

Omnisphere Fjall is available now, and is currently (22 September 2023) being offered for an introductory price of $19, reduced from its full cost of $29.
