Friday 13 October 2023 - York, UK

Scanner Concert

British electronic music artist Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) will be performing live at the University of York’s Rymer Auditorium on Friday 13 October 2023.

Scanner has been producing concerts, installations and recordings since 1991, with his albums ‘Mass Observation’, ‘Delivery’  and ‘An Ascent’ hailed by critics as innovative and inspirational works of contemporary electronic music.

He has scored 66 contemporary dance productions including the hit musical comedy ‘Kirikou & Karaba Narnia’, as well as 'Qualia’ for the London Royal Ballet and the world’s first virtual reality ballet, ‘Nightfall’, for the Dutch National Ballet. His work ‘Salles des Departs’ is permanently installed in a working morgue in Paris, and Vex, the residential house by Chance de Silva architects — which features his permanent soundtrack — won the RIBA London Award in 2018.

The concert will also include short performances by Ben Eyes, and the University’s Modular Ensemble. Tickets are available now for £10, with concessions priced for £8 and student tickets available for £3.
