University of Salford Spatial Music Festival free UK immersive audio event Dolby Atmos demonstration

The University of Salford have announced that they will be hosting a Spatial Audio Festival at their MediaCity Campus on Thursday 22 June 2023 at 10am. Dedicated to spatial audio technology, the event is free for anyone to attend, and will serve as a platform for industry experts to share their insights through talks, panel discussions, demonstrations and workshops.

The event is being held in collaboration with partners such as Avid, BBC R&D, d&b Audiotechnik, Applied Psychoacoustics Laboratory (APL), Genelec, Mediaspec, University of York, AMS Neve, Tube, Remedy, UKAN and Technicians Make It Happen. The festival will feature performances from 808 State's Graham Massey, The Cinematic Orchestra's guitarist Stuart McCallum, and more through d&b Audiotechnik’s spatial audio soundscape system, with attendees also able to check out demonstrations of  7.1.4 Dolby Atmos setups, Binaural 3D audio systems and next-generation Spatial Audio setups for venues & clubs.

Ticket Registration

The event is open to anyone interested in audio, and is free to attend for anyone who registers for a ticket via the Eventbrite website.
