Roland unveil V-Drums headphones

Designed specifically for electronic drum kits

Roland VMH-D1 V Drums Headphones electronic drum kit monitoring

Roland have released the VMH-D1 V-Drums Headphones, a new monitoring solution designed specifically for electronic drum kits in a collaboration with headphone manufacturer V-MODA.

The VMH-D1 employs custom 50mm drivers, and the company’s say that they have utilised select materials and mounting methods to ensure that the headphones are able to accurately translate the aggressive transients and wide frequency range associated with electronic drum kits. Their response has been tuned to deliver tight and punchy kick drum sounds, whilst extending far enough into the high-frequency range to provide natural-sounding cymbal and hi-hat tones.

The cushioned headband design has been optimised to offer comfort over long playing sessions, whilst the large earpads are constructed from memory foam to ensure a good fit, and covered with a synthetic leather material that helps them to stay in place. Roland say that the VMH-D1 also offers excellent isolation from acoustic pad noise and outside distractions.

The headphones come supplied with a carrying pouch, five-foot and ten-foot cables, and a hangar that can be attached to a drum or cymbal stand to safely store them when they’re not in use.

Pricing & Availability

The VMH-D1 V-Drums Headphones are available now, priced at $179.99£172 including VAT.
