Bitwig have announced that they are offering their users the chance to download a free Orchestral Woodwinds sound package which contains a selection of woodwind ensemble recordings captured by sample library experts Orchestral Tools.
Recorded on the scoring stage at the famous Teldex Studio in Berlin, Orchestral Woodwinds contains 14 presets that offer standard woodwind ensembles playing a range of articulations along with half- and whole-step trills. An additional 14 presets then use Bitwig Studio’s tools to transform the samples into arpeggiated musical patterns, minimal soundscapes, and more.
Availability & Compatibility
Orchestral Woodwinds is available now and is free for anyone with an active Bitwig Studio Upgrade Plan. Bitwig Studio version 4.4.6 is required. Instructions on how to download the sound package are as follows:
- Launch Bitwig Studio and open the Dashboard (by clicking the Bitwig icon in the top of the window)
- Go to Packages tab, click on Partner Collection, then click the Install button alongside Orchestral Woodwinds
- To load a sound: Add a track with the plus button (+), then click on the Presets page, and under Packages, choose Orchestral Woodwinds
