Krotos have announced Krotos Studio, a new platform that they say simplifies and unifies the complex process of working with sound into one single piece of software. The company’s current offerings have built a solid reputation in the sound design world, with their Dehumaniser 2, Reformer Pro, Weaponiser, and Concept 2 plug-ins being used in top film, TV and game audio projects such as Avengers, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Ozark and Cyberpunk 2077.
Krotos Studio will be a complete solution paired with an online library containing hundreds of thousands of sound assets and thousands of professionally designed presets. There are also future plans to introduce a marketplace where users will be able to collaborate, share, sell and buy their sounds and presets.
The manufacturer says that the software will be aimed at a wide range of users, catering to content creators of all skill levels. The software's interface features an XY pad, allowing real-time performance control over ambiences, Foley, sound effects, transition sounds and more. Built-in templates will provide beginners with an environment to produce work boasting high production standards, whilst more advanced sound designers can utilise an ‘Advanced Mode’ that will provide deeper control over the softwares parameters, also allowing users to import their own recordings and sound libraries.
