GPU Audio offering free impulse responses

Technology also now supported on macOS

GPU Audio free impulse response convolution reverb plug-in files

GPU Audio have announced that they are offering a free IR Pack which contains 50 impulse responses created by their community as part of the recent IR Competition.

Each of the files in the pack have been created by talented members of the GPU Audio community, and were submitted as entries to the competition. They have been chosen from over 200 entires, and include the sounds of spaces such as churches, halls and rooms, as well as far more unusual offerings that include a rotary telephone speaker, modular effects setups and even someone’s pharynx!

The company have also announced that they will be releasing details about their first collaborative releases with three established plug-in developers very soon, and the technology is now supported on macOS as well as Windows, with users of both platforms set to benefit from the release of a new beta suite of plug-ins over the coming months.

Compatibility

The impulse responses provided in the pack can be used in a range of different convolution plug-ins, although the company are encouraging users to try out their GPU-powered Fireverb plug-in, which was released recently as part of a free Space & Time bundle.

Availability

The pack is available now, and can be obtained for free by signing up to GPU Audio’s website.
