Raising awareness of music technology

TiME free music technology educational resources

TiME (Technology in Music Education) is a global alliance of music educators and music industry partners that was created with the goal of creating a greater awareness of music technology in education.

The organisation was established in 2019 by David Ward, Richard Llewellyn and Kate Rounding, and was founded on the belief that high-quality resources should be available to everyone. Over the past four years, they have collaborated with highly experienced teachers and organisations, providing information and free resources on the ever-developing field of music technology, as well as advising the Department for Education on the inclusion of the subject in the National Plan for Music Education.

The organisation offer free membership, which provides access to a wide range of educational resources, tutorial videos, presentations, classroom posters, blogs and much more. There is also a Corporate Partnership scheme which facilitates connections between educational organisations and manufacturers within the music technology industry.

TiME is currently supported by organisations including; Arts Council England, Music Mark, Music Teachers' Association, Music Teacher Magazine, Music Industry Association, UK Music, Joint Audio Media Education Services (JAMES) and many others. They are always eager to hear about educational events, resources, and news, and invite anyone who would like to share any information or links to get in touch.
