Erica Synths have announced that they are planning on releasing a new version of their latest drum machine, and will be discontinuing the current production model. The latest iteration of the Perkons HD-01 will be identical to the current model in terms of its circuit design and performance, with the only difference being a sleek new black finish.
The company say that they are pleased to see the enjoyment that the instrument has brought to users around the world after the numerous production setbacks that delayed its initial release. Due to a number of considerations, including popular demand, they have decided to celebrate its success by moving its appearance in line with the dark aesthetic that has become synonymous with their extensive range of Eurorack modules and desktop instruments.

The new version of the Perkons HD-01 is expected to be shipping by 7 May 2024, priced at €1700.
